First numbers are in and it seems that Nintendo did a great job promoting their newest console. The president of an American branch of Nintendo, Reggie Fils-Aime stated for the New York Times that Nintendo Switch had the best launch for a console in the history of the company.
This statement is to be taken with a pinch of salt as it is a rough sales info for only two days for north and south America. Good news is that Japan sales of Switch surpassed the sold numbers of Nintendo's previous console, the WII U, with a total of 313 000 consoles sold.
Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild concurrently became the best-selling game in the history of Nintendo and most definitely contributed to the sales of the console itself, thus ending the reign of Super Mario 64 as the best selling Nintendo game.
