Next Zelda delayed to 2017 now for Wii U and NX

The next game in the Legend of Zelda series has been delayed to 2017. It will now be released on both Wii U and Nintendo's upcoming console code named NX.

Nintendo of America has announced the next Zelda game will be launched simultaneously on Wii U and NX consoles today via Twitter. This confirms months of rumors and speculation that the game would be featured on both platforms. Nintendo also revealed that the NX would be releasing in March 2017.

Originally slated for a 2015 then 2016 exclusively for Wii U, the game has now been delayed to 2017. Nintendo has also said their E3 presence will focus heavily on The Legend of Zelda.
