New Update Brings Big Changes for Fire Emblem Heroes

Fire Emblem Heroes has got a new update and it's got new features. And some changes are also paired with these new features. It's a rather packed update to say the least.

The 3.4.0 Update for Fire Emblem Heroes is here and it’s a big one. With new features and changes to the game, this is an update that has a lot to give.

One of the noted features in the update is the Pair Up ability. This was a feature that mainly allowed Heroes to them to deploy as a pair with another Hero in certain modes.
Now new Legendary Heroes will have the Pair Up ability in the Main Story, Paralogues, and Training Tower.

Paired Heroes can switch who is in the lead at any time once deployed. Even after acting, they are able to switch and players can make new tactics as paired Heroes will boost each other’s stats. The Pair Up options can be found in the Allies menu under Interact with Allies.

A new mode using Pair Up has also been announced. Titled as Allegience Battles, it will begin on April 26 11:00 p.m.(PT). It will allow players to use the Hero in the rightmost slot of their team and pair with a friend for a chance to a high score and get Hero Feathers and Dragonflowers.

Another change in the update is the improvement of tiers for Fortress (O). Players who are in Tier 12 or below will receive a bonus in levels up to +4 when they attack.

Then there is the Aether Raids. With an expansion of five parties for Light seasons and five parties for Astra seasons, there will be an automatic switch between the two depending on the seasons.

On the note of Aether, a new mode has been added to the Aether Keep. Players can now enjoy their Keeps by interacting with friends with Aether Resort. What’s more, they can save up special points called R&R Affinity to build structures. And depending on how much R&R Affinity is used, a player can receive Aether Stones.

A prominent change in the update is with the New Heroes summoning events and Special Heroes summoning events. Forty-seven of the present Heroes who appear at 5★ rarity will no longer appear starting April 9. However, they will continue to appear at 5★ rarity in Summoning Focus summoning events and Special Heroes Revival summoning events.

And on a positive note, there are two Heroes who will be available to summon using Heroic Grails. They are the Warm Knight Titania and Proud Taguel Panne.

One of the other changes in the update is the processing of Heroes who undergo merges via Merge Allies has been changed. The remaining ally will not only take over the source alley’s place in the team, but they will also take over Sacred Seals and accessories equipped by the source ally.

An addition to the game new weapon skills and weapons to refine. At 5★ Heroes can learn character-specific weapon skills as follows:

  • Bull Blade – Hero who can learn this skill: Cain: The Bull
  • Hana’s Katana – Hero who can learn this skill: Hana: Focused Samurai
  • Panther Lance – Hero who can learn this skill: Abel The Panther
  • Peri’s Lance – Hero who can learn this skill: Peri: Playful Slayer

Once the weapons above obtained, players upgrade them in the Weapon Refinery but only if they unlocked it by clearing Book I, Chapter 13 in the main story and then clear the second Intermission map, The Rite of Blades.
