New Assassin’s Creed screenshot and info leaked

Reddit has done it again with unconfirmed information about the new Assassin's Creed game and a screenshot that seemingly confirms rumors that have been going on for months.

Assassin's Creed Origins News
A source on Reddit who claims to be working for a company responsible for manufacturing pre-order cards for various department stores had this to say about the game:

I didn't get to look at it for long but it was art for a reservation card for a US retailer. The game is called Assassin's Creed Origins and looks very much like it's set in Egypt. The artwork had a city with a pyramid in the background. In the center of the card, there is the new assassin walking toward the city. It looked like he was carrying a shield, a bow, and he had a hawk of some sort on his shoulder. Last bit of note is the reservation is for the Gold edition of the game which has the base game, the season pass and comes in a steel book packaging. No idea what the price will be. This isn't the first time that I've found out about a game thanks to my work and in past experiences, the game is usually announced before our printer ships the cards, or shortly after. I believe these are scheduled to ship on the 30th so the official announcement should come by then.

Then there is the leaked screenshot:

This is both in line with the previous rumors about the game and its Egyptian setting as well as Black Flag easter eggs. We know that most of the team that previously worked on Black Flag is working on this one, hence the return of the beloved naval element from that game. There are also rumors about the game running on a revamped version of the Anvil engine as well as featuring a modern day element. A full reveal is probably in store at E3  so we will have to wait until then to confirm this info.

What are your thoughts on the setting and other rumored game details? Sound off in the comments below.
