Neo Geo The Last blade Port Headed To Xbox One/PS4

Neo Geo's The Last Blade Slashes Over To Current Console Cycle. ESRB Rating Reveals Prompt Release For The Old School 2D Fighter.

Neo Geo The Last blade Coming To Xbox One Soon
The ESRB (The Entertainment Software Rating Board) just submitted a Rating description for what looks to be an upcoming port of the classic Neo Geo The Last Blade. The game was rated "Teen" and noted that the game includes: Violence, Blood, Use of Alcohol and Tobacco. This news was made public via the ESRB's own twitter feed. The game is reported to be headed to the PS4 as well. This would be the latest in an effort to bring multiple games from the Neo Geo era over to modern consoles.

The Last Blade originally released in 1997 on arcades while a console version saw the light of day first on the Neo Geo in 1998. It's a spiritual successor to SNK's old popular Samurai Showdown series and is very much characterized by being a 2D weapons-based fighting game. The game takes place during the Bakumatsu era of Japan and thus makes heavy use of mythology based on the Four symbolic creatures: The Azure Dragon, the Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, and the Black Turtle.

What do our readers think of these old-school ports gracing modern'day consoles? Which other old school 2D Fighters would you like to see next? Let us know below.
