Sega has unveiled another new guest character in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania. Hailing from Persona 5, Morgana has joined the roster. The announcement came during the Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase. During the event, Sega dropped not one, but two new trailers for the game. One introduces Morgana, while the other shows off the 12 included mini-games.
Morgana is rolling into Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania as a post-launch DLC character! 💘

While Morgana is coming to Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, there is a major caveat. The guest characters announced so far will all be unlockable through normal gameplay. However, Morgana the Phantom Thief will arrive on November 2nd as a paid post-launch DLC. That’s just short of a month after the game’s launch. As a result, you’ll need to part with a few dollars to add Morgana to the game’s roster ($4.99).
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania isn’t just a remaster of the main game. The developers also gave some love to all of the mini-games from Super Monkey Ball, Super Monkey Ball 2, and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. As you can see in the trailer above, these include series staples like Monkey Bowling, Monkey Soccer, and Monkey Target.
Morgana is the latest to join the monkey gang and their other recent new friends. The guest character list holds some big names, including Sonic & Tails, Jet Set Radio‘s Beat, and last week’s announcement, Kazuma Kiryu. Jet & Jam don’t really count as guest characters since they’re from the Super Monkey Ball series. While they weren’t in the original versions of these games, they appeared in later entries in the series. The growing monkey gang will once again clash with the evil Dr. Badboon when Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania launches on October 5th. The game will be available on Steam, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and PlayStation 4 & 5.
