Today, part one of the long-awaited Caves and Cliffs update for Minecraft was released for Java and Bedrock edition. After it was announced that the large update would be split into two smaller ones, it was only a matter of time until the first part would become available.
Part one of this release brings forth many new additions and features to the game. The most prominent ones being brand new mobs such as goats, new ore textures, blocks and copper as a new mineral. Many new creatures also populate the waters, namely the axolotl and glow squid. Overall, the update intends to make Minecraft feel more alive as well as making changes to the heart of the title itself: mining and exploration.
As the title depicts, caverns will be seeing a huge overhaul. Starting with part one, you should see some changes to their general looks, but nothing too drastic quite yet. You’ll be seeing some tremendous changes to your surroundings when underground with the rest of the update, so be on the lookout for part two later this year.
There are so many new additions and features to the game to explore. Part one of the Caves and Cliffs update is available on all major platforms now! Download it and let me know below what your favourite new features are.
