Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Part II Gets Release Date

Mojang has announced the Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Part II release date. It is set to close out the month of November with a bang for Minecrafters! Mountains and caves are reborn as candles provide a new light source to pierce the shadows.

Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Part II Gets Release Date

The first half of this year’s major Minecraft update came out back in the summer, adding a bunch of new blocks and mobs to the game. Now, Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Part II just got a release date that will close out November with a bang! While axolotls, goats, and glow squids joined the blocky world previously, the new world generation arrives on November 30th.

The second half of this massive Minecraft update gives mountains and caves a huge revamp. This includes making the world height higher once again. However, the block-filled world isn’t just taller, it is also deeper. Players can now venture down to a depth of -64, providing a lot more room for the improved caves and their new biomes. Conversely, the top of the world is now at 320, which is pretty high up! Some new details were recently revealed at Minecraft Live last month.

Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Part II only just recently got its first pre-release version. Now it is racing toward the finish line! The latest update will also add candles into the game, bringing a new light source to crafters. However, a few features have unfortunately been pushed back, as they needed more time. The archeology stuff won’t be in the Wild Update either, but they say these features are indeed still coming to the game in the future.

The Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Part II update will be available for Minecraft Java Edition (Windows, Linux, and MacOS), and for the Minecraft Bedrock Edition on

  • Windows 10
  • Xbox Series X | S
  • Xbox One
  • Nintendo Switch
  • PlayStation 4
  • PlayStation 5
  • Android and iOs
