Metroid: Samus Returns, the remake of the second game in the series that originally launched on the Game Boy back in 1991, will be receiving a special edition, Nintendo revealed today (via Kotaku).
Though currently only slated for Europe, this limited edition will include the physical version of the game, a download code for the original Game Boy game redeemable at the Nintendo eShop, a Game Boy cartridge-styled steelbook case that looks just like the original Metroid 2: Return of Samus cartridge, a sound selection CD featuring 25 tracks across the Metroid franchise, a gold “S” pin badge, a Morph Ball 3D keyring, and a 40 page artbook.
An image of all the goodies of the package can be found above. It's currently unknown whether or not it will release outside of Europe or how much it will cost.
What I do know for sure is that this certainly has my preorder.
