Sony showed a number of games and release dates during its E3 pre-show that were very notable. Among these was some new footage and information on the upcoming twin-stick shooter Matterfall from developer Housemarque. Previoulsy we had only seen a introductory trailer with no gameplay. However, during the pre-show we received quite an update. You play a hero-fire-hire who fights waves of "smart matter." The game is similar to previously released Resogun in its 2D side-scroller style. The game was also announced once again to be a PS4 exclusive with no other platform mentioned. It is set to release digitally only, at a price of just $19.99 in the U.S., on August 25th, 2017. Be sure to check the rapid-fire trailer just below.
