Marvel’s Midnight Suns was announced at Gamescom 2021 and was widely applauded due to what it takes for an expert developer like Firaxis Games to work on a Marvel game. It is a tactical role-playing game with the use of cards that will incorporate many elements from other of the company’s most famous games, such as XCOM. Nor should we forget that this same team has created classics such as Civilization or the games from the Sid Meier universe.

The game’s story is new and tells how Hydra awakens Lilith, Mother of Demons, who prepares the domination of Earth with the recovery of the terrible Chthon. As it is a magical problem, the main heroes of the planet need the help of Doctor Strange. He decides to remedy the matter by forming a group known as the Midnight Suns, which includes characters related to demons and magic. He will also recruit an original character known as The Hunter, which has been created in collaboration with and supervision of Marvel.
The turn-based gameplay will bring a breath of fresh air to games based on Marvel comics. It will also include the management of The Abbey, a base of operations and other role-playing elements. However, it is likely that more characters will be added to Marvel’s Midnight Suns in the future, especially now that a new delay in its launch has been announced. Fans hope that the postponement will at least ensure that it is a must-play game.
