Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has slotted into second place in the UK boxed charts in its opening week. Only FIFA 22 sits above it; the fifth consecutive week the EA Sports title has topped the pile.
Square Enix’s next Marvel game has impressed on its opening week, currently scoring 81 on Metacritic (PS5).
On its debut, Nintendo’s newest title Mario Party Superstars is the third best selling game of the week; meanwhile, Far Cry 6 moves down two spots to fourth. Ubisoft’s open-world shooter had been sitting in the second spot since its release on 6 October.
Riders Republic, another Ubisoft title, enters the chart in eighth, the extreme sports adventure recently had a free trial week on all platforms.
Once more, Minecraft (7th) and Grand Theft Auto V (9th) are present on the boxed chart list.
