Nearly eight years since its initial release, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tops the UK boxed game charts for the second week of 2022. In the data collected by Ukie, EA Sports’ FIFA 22 sits in the second spot for a consecutive week behind Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Once more, Nintendo has a strong showing in the top ten. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is again in the third spot, while Pokémon: Brilliant Diamond drops from sixth to eighth. Ring Fit Adventure, also developed and published by Nintendo, enters the top ten in sixth place.
Despite launch sales being the lowest in fourteen years, Call of Duty: Vanguard remains in the top five in fifth. Minecraft re-enters the top five in fourth, up for seventh last week. Meanwhile, Grand Theft Auto V returns to the top ten after missing last week in 15th.
