It has been announced at today's Nintendo Direct that Luigi's Mansion, a remake of the 2001 GameCube launch title, is coming to the Nintendo 3DS this year.
Luigi's Mansion is a short parody of the horror genre in which the titular overshadowed Mario brother explores a haunted mansion in order to save Mario, who has been turned into a painting by King Boo.
The 3DS remake seems to take the graphical and quality-of-life improvements featured in the game's 2013 3DS sequel, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, such as having the map on the touch screen. There will also be a new boss rush mode included as well.
Luigi's Mansion will launch on the 3DS family of systems later this year.
