Leak: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Is Coming to PC via Epic Games Cover

With its exclusivity deal ending in April of 2021, Final Fantasy 7 Remake is finally arriving on PC. Spotted on the Epic Games Store database, the game will likely be another exclusive, this time for the Epic Games Store. This should come as no surprise, given Square Enix’s PC port of the Kingdom Hearts series.

The PC port of Final Fantasy 7 Remake does not include the recently released Intergrade, as that will remain a PS5 exclusive until 2022 at the earliest.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake had some notorious performance issues on base PS4, ranging from long loading times to egregious texture pop-in. Many of the issues were resolved in the PS5 port, taking advantage of the much more powerful hardware.

Although the game received some criticism for splitting the remake into parts, Final Fantasy 7 Remake was generally well-received. Praise was directed at the hybrid action/RPG combat system and stellar graphics. Some weren’t happy about the new creative liberties the remake took with the original story, however, especially with the lackluster conclusion.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available for purchase for PS4 and PS5.
