League of Legends Patch 12.11: Nerfs, Skins and New Champion Bel’Veth

Patch 12.11 is out now for League of Legends. Riot recently announced LOL's newest champion, Bel'Veth, as well as a new summer skin lineup. The patch also brings a number of nerfs, buffs and adjustments to existing champions, as well as item adjustments.

League of Legends Patch 12.11: Nerfs, Skins and New Champion Bel'Veth

League of Legends patch 12.11 is now live, with nerfs, buffs and a new champion, Bel’Veth. The biggest impact patch 12.11 will have on League may be the arrival of a new playable champion, Bel’Veth. Nonetheless, harsh nerfs to several champions including Master Yi, Swain and Veigar are sure to make a mark on competitive gameplay. As well as nerfs, numerous buffs are being handed out to champions including Caitlyn, Sona and Sylas.

Bel’Veth is due to release to players on June 9th, 2022. As well as Bel’Veth, Ocean Song Ashe, Nidalee, Seraphine, Yone and Zeri will be purchasable on June 9th, 2022. Bel’Veth’s first in-store skin, Battle Boss Bel’Veth, will also launch alongside Ocean Song skins. She joins Brand, Malzahar, Yasuo, Blitzcrank, Ziggs and Qiyana in the Battle Boss skin lineup. Seraphine’s prestige edition of her Ocean Song skin will be available from June 9th until July 14th, 2022.

Among one of the champions receiving a buff in Patch 12.11 is Aphelios. The ADC received an EDG Worlds skin in the last patch and is now up for an attack speed increase. Aphelios has been considered among the weaker ADCs recently, so an attack speed buff will help level the playing field with the champion.

Irelia is among the champions with the biggest buffs heading into LOL 12.11. The top-laner’s Q healing is increased, while her E cooldown has been decreased. Other champions buffed for LOL patch 12.11 are Caitlyn, Gargas, Lee Sin, Nunu & Willump, Rakan, Ryze, Samira, Sona, Sylas, Tham Kench, Taric, Tryndamere and Xin Zhao.

Fizz is one of the champions in patch 12.11 who received an adjustment, rather than a nerf or a buff. The mid-laner will now benefit from a mana growth increase while receiving a health growth decrease. Olaf and Zeri’s kits were also adjusted.

Nerfs have been issued to several champions. Kayn has been dominating the jungle and it was only a matter of time before Riot nerfed him. Kayn’s Q damage has been decreased in Darkin form. The peerless practitioner should have a tougher time reaping the benefits of his Rhaast abilities post-12.11. Another jungle, Lillia, has also been nerfed. Her base health and passive damage have both been decreased, with a base HP of 625, down from 650. Others hit with nerfs are Brand, Gwen, Kog’Maw, Master Yi, Rengar, Senna, Swain Taliyah, Veigar and Wukong. For a full list of changes arriving with patch 12.11, read Riot’s full patch notes.

AMAZON PRIME GAMING BUNDLES WILL NOW CONTAIN 350 RP INSTEAD OF 650 RP

As well as various bug fixes, Riot has implemented a change to monthly Amazon Prime capsules. Prime gaming now offers players 350 RP. Previously, the bundle, exclusive to Amazon Prime subscribers, included 650 RP, which is added to a player’s wallet. Additionally, the capsule comes with a skin worth at least 1350 RP skin and a 30-day experience boost. Also included Eternal shards, champion shards and 200 orange essences. The missing 300 RP has caused controversy within the player base. Riot are instead offering 5 Mythic Essence in the place of the 300 RP that has been taken out of the Prime Gaming bundle.

Mythic Essence is a new in-game currency that players can use to purchase previously unattainable skins, such as Kai’Sa’s prestige K/DA skin, or Annie’s Hextech skin. Moreover, Riot has begun to tease future cosmetics for League of Legends beyond patch 12.11, including Snow Moon Caitlyn and Snow Moon Kayn skins.
