Klab Obtains Global Distribution Rights for a New My Hero Academia Game

Klab has recently announced its acquisition of worldwide distribution rights for a brand new mobile online game based on the popular TV animation series, “My Hero Academia”. The company intends to create a game that fans of the franchise from all over the world can enjoy.

Klab is an entertainment content brand founded in 2000 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. It has been making online mobile games accessible to players all around the globe since 2009. As one of the leaders in online mobile gaming, Klab has maintained its rank as one of the top 52 grossing game publishers worldwide since 2012.

The company has worked alongside various famous anime and manga series to create mobile game titles based on the respective franchises. With games like Love Live! School Idol Festival, Utano☆Princesama: Shining Live, and Bleach: Brave Souls, Klab is no stranger to IP-based game development and distribution. 

The TV anime My Hero Academia is an adaptation of the popular manga series authored by Kohei Horikoshi. It was launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2014, and has exceeded 65 million copies worldwide since. The official English publication of this manga series is managed by Viz Media, which handles both print and digital publication in North America. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service also offers English publication in a digital format. In addition to the animated series, several movie adaptations have been made.

As of now, there is no release date for the game. Klab has only secured its acquisition, so progress on further development will be announced when available.
