Kirby and the Forgotten Land Gets March 25 Release Date

It was back in September that the newest Kirby game got a slated release window of spring 2022. There is now an official release date, as Kirby's latest adventure will drop exclusively on Nintendo Switch on March 25, 2022. It is also Kirby's 30th anniversary this year.

It wasn’t long ago that the ESRB gave Kirby and the Forgotten Land a rating of E10+. This happened back in September 2021, when it also revealed the game’s release window. There wasn’t a specific date given, except that it would be coming out sometime in spring 2022. Now, a few months later, more information has been released about the game. This information includes the official release date for Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It has now been confirmed that the new Kirby game, exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, will release on March 25, 2022. The last game in the Kirby series to be released was Kirby Fighters 2 in September 2020.

As well as a release date reveal, a trailer showcasing Kirby and the Forgotten Land has been released. The game is described as being a 3D platforming adventure. Kirby will discover that Waddle Dees are being kidnapped by the Beast Pack in an unknown land. Kirby sets off on a rescue mission with the aid of new friend Elfilin.

The main goal of the game is to traverse the strange new world and save as many Waddle Dees as possible. Kirby will use his abilities to defeat enemies and tackle platforming challenges. As well as Kirby’s usual copy abilities, he’s got some new ones, including the Drill and Ranger copy abilities. These give him some useful advantages, such as drilling underground to attack from below, and attack faraway enemies.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land features co-op gameplay. If players team up with another player, Kirby will get help from a Bandana Waddle Dee. This second hero has the ability to attack using their spear. Co-op gameplay is carried out by sharing a Joy-Con.

Waddle Dee Town serves as the central hub for Kirby’s latest adventure. It will develop as you rescue more Waddle Dees. Such developments include new shops opening up, as well as unlocking new mini games. There’s even a café where Kirby can help out by serving customers. This is a good place to visit if you want a break from the action.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is now available to pre-order at your regional pricing. The Kirby series is also celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. To commemorate the occasion, a wallpaper is available to download for free from the official Kirby website.
