Last Night, during the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra: World of Tres performance, Square Enix showed off the first bit of the upcoming DLC for Kingdom Hearts III. The Remind DLC, which was initially announced in April, will include new scenarios that weren’t in the base game and will be released sometime in winter. Today, Square Enix and the official Kingdom Hearts Youtube account has released the trailer that premiered last night. The trailer shows new story footage with Young Xehanort and the Master of Masters character that was introduced in Kingdom Hearts X Back cover. We then see new cutscenes featuring Organization XIII members Xigbar and Luxord.
The trailer also reveals that players will be able to play as Riku, Roxas, and Aqua in the final battle with Organization XIII at the Keyblade Graveyard. Originally, Sora was the only playable character in these sections of the game. Speaking of Sora, he will gain a new limit form that wasn’t in the base game and will have him wielding the Oathkeeper Keyblade that was first introduced in the original Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts director, Tetsuya Nomura, promised fans that there would be more to come for the series’ first bit of paid DLC.
Kingdom Hearts III was released worldwide on January 25th, 2019. For what we thought of the game, you can check out our review.
