Japanese Industry Icon says PS4 Pro is The Right Move for Sony
Former Editor-in-Chief of the highly popular Japanese gaming publication Famitsu and current Director of the Kadokawa Group Hirokazu Hamamura gave his opinion on Sony's PlayStation Pro in an interview with Nikkei, stating that offering an upgrade is the right move for the company to take advantage of its strong position.

He mentioned that while it's normal to have a cheaper version of a console release after some period of time, it's interesting now that Sony will have a budget model and a newer one exist simultaneously. He explained that usually, after you have cut the price to the limit and the market is saturated, it’s common for hardware manufacturers to move on to the next generation – yet instead of releasing the PlayStation 5, Sony opted to upgrade in a move more accustomed to PC platforms.

Hamamura went on to state that throwing away a community of 40 million gamers would be wasteful, and that offering a boost in technical power is the best move considering the manufacturer's situation. Given the device's announcement last week and mixed opinions online, it would be interesting to note the PlayStation 4 Pro's performance when it launches this November 10.
