There has been a bit of confusion surrounding the announcement of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales over the past 24 hours. Despite an earlier quote from Simon Rutter, EVP head of European business at Sony Interactive Entertainment, telling The Telegraph, “you could call it an expansion and an enhancement to the previous game.” Rutter has since been corrected by the developers at Insomniac Games, specifically the Community Director at Insomniac Games, James Stevenson, saying that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, “is a standalone game” and not an expansion or remaster.
For those who keep asking – #MilesMoralesPS5 is a standalone game. https://t.co/t49Uti06sF

There isn’t much else known about this title yet, but a blog post on the PlayStation site added that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales would contain, “Highly-detailed character models and enhanced visuals across the game intensify the story of Miles Morales as he faces great, new challenges while learning to be his own Spider-Man.”
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released on the PlayStation 5 this holiday season.
