IGN Summer Of Gaming Schedule Revealed

Due to the absence of E3 this summer, many industry leaders are attempting to fill the massive expo-sized hole with their own digital events. IGN has just revealed the schedule and plans for their upcoming summer event called Summer of Gaming.

IGN, one of the world’s largest media outlets, has revealed its schedule and plans for its upcoming Summer of Gaming event. The event is meant to be a digital expo to help fill in the gap this summer after E3’s cancellation earlier this year

The Summer of Gaming event will bring fans a look at the upcoming news, info, and footage from the industry. Games like  Cyberpunk 2077, Samurai Jack:  Battle For Time,  Wasteland 3, and many more will be shown off and explored throughout the month. The company will also be hosting what they call Icon Month. Throughout the event, IGN experts will sit down with industry icons, like Brian Fargo and John Romero, for introspective interviews and hot takes of the gaming industry.

The Summer of Gaming event will also kick off the IGN Expo, which will take place on June 5th, 8th, and 9th. The Expo will be where IGN presents exclusive game reveals, gameplay footage, industry interviews, and more.

Summer of Gaming Schedule Announced - IGN Now

IGN will be hosting several charity streams nearly every day of the event to support the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. One of these charity streams will be an Animal Crossing: New Horizons Celebrity tour. The stream will take fans on a tour of several celebrity islands as well as show segments of Animal Talking by Gary Whitta.

IGN states that the current schedule is not final as of yet and that several more companies, such as EA, Blizzard, and Xbox, are slated to be added to the Summer of Gaming lineup in the near future.

The entire month of June fans can tune into any major streaming platform as well as the IGN website to watch the event.
