IGN Expo Day 4 & Guerilla Collective Games Revealed

IGN and the Guerilla Collective showcase their final games in the day 4 live stream. Since E3 has cancelled, IGN has been live-streaming their Expo online, their final day shared with Guerilla Collective, another summer gaming festival. In celebration of these games, trailers were revealed and games were demo-ed by developers from around the world.

Summer of Gaming’s final Expo is coming to a close! IGN Expo’s day 4 games have just been revealed on the June 15th livestream. IGN decided to host online live streams in replacement of E3’s cancellation, showcasing a slew of games. Alongside IGN is the Guerilla Collective, an online festival that helps showcase these amazing games from developers around the world. From new trailers to gameplay demos, here is a list of IGN Expo and Guerilla Collective’s final day games.

Guerilla Collective

In an alternate reality, the 1920s are in your hands. Iron Harvest is a real-time strategy game, set in an alternate reality after the Great War. The developers yearned to create a realistic game where players take control of the battlefield through single-player and co-op campaigns. Pre-order now on Steam, Epic Games Store or GOG. If the developer walkthrough interested you, try out the free demo on Steam as well.

Have you ever been at your 9-to-5 job, and your boss keeps yelling at you to do overtime, but all you wanna do is say no? Well, in Say No! More, you can live out this wonderful power fantasy. This is a narrative game where you defend yourself against co-workers and bosses by No!-ing them. This is a quirky game on the surface, but a message about friendship and standing your ground below it. Wishlist on Steam, or wait till it arrives on PC, iOS, and Switch.

This next game is Mega Man X inspired rogue-like30XX takes you into a world with lush landscapes and parkour platforms. Defeat Guardians and discover new powers, even with a friend! There isn’t a planned release date yet, but you can wishlist it on Steam.

Set to release in just a few days on June 18th, West of Dead gives off some Telltale Games art style vibes. Descend into the world of purgatory in this fast-paced shooter. Dodge between covers to take on enemies through procedurally generated underground worlds. Play the open beta on Xbox One, or wishlist it on Steam. It also plans to come to Switch and PS4 in August 2020.

After the original hit success from 1994, System Shock is being rebooted and reimagined. As a renowned hacker in space, you awaken 6 months after your coma, and in the aftermath of a terrible disaster. This is an FPS shooter with the look and feel of games such as Mass Effect and Fallout; this is in part of the fact that some veteran developers from these franchises came to work on System Shock. It will release on all platforms sometime in the near future, but you can wishlist it on Steam.

A few other notable mentions are the following: Boyfriend Dungeon, a dungeon crawler dating-sim set to release in 2020; The Eternal Cylinder, a survival adventure game set in strange worlds coming to consoles in 2020; finally, Gloomwood, an FPS stealth horror game set to release sometime soon, other than the free demo on Steam.

IGN Expo

Calling all Splatoon lovers; here’s a game highly inspired by one of Nintendo’s biggest franchises. Ninjala is a free-to-play multiplayer action game developed by GungHo Online. Join a tournament with fellow Ninjas, and use Ninja-Gum to blow bubbles at enemies and craft weapons. It will be coming to the Switch on June 24th, 2020.

Next up is The Forgotten City, a mature narrative-driven game. Travel 2,000 years ago to unravel the past of a cursed Roman city in its last days. Your goal is the break the time loop and save the lost souls of the city. This game is set to release in Winter 2020 on Xbox One and Steam.

The world of MMOs are few and far between, but this one game hopes to revive the genre. New World is an MMO RPG releasing on August 25th, 2020. Overcome large battles with competing players in this massive world of the Eternal Isle. Pre-purchase or add to your wishlist on Steam.

Dead Static Drive is a horror survival adventure game. Fight for your survival alongside other characters as you drive along the open roads. Scavenge, sneak and drive through this desolate, artistically styled world. This game will be coming soon to Xbox One and Steam.

Become a sentient program and escape deletion in a technologically advanced meta-world. In Recompile, you’re stuck in the mainframe while having to fight enemies and use environmental hacking. Recompile will be out on Steam sometime in 2020.

IGN took a deep dive into another game, and this one is the second MMO to be seen today. Corepunk is an open-world MMO that offers a variety of gameplay loops such as fighting enemies and utilizing the in-game economy. You can sign up to be apart of the beta today!

Many other games were featured in day 4’s live stream: The Survivalists, an island survival game by the creators of The EscapistsVigor, a free-to-play online shooter coming soon to the Switch. Solasta: Crown of the Magister, a tactical RPG adventure that mimics the tabletop game of Dungeons & Dragons. Finally, Shing!, a beat-em-up adventure game where you defeat demons as a ninja.
