This month we also got an update on the highly anticipated Freelancer mode which gave us an overview of what’s to come in the next couple of months. Here is a brief visual summary of what’s in store for players in September:
Hitman 3’s October roadmap
20th Anniversary Challenge
This October may be the month of tricks and treats, however, it is also the 20th anniversary of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. Marking the anniversary, IO Interactive have released a new challenge themed after the classic Hitman game. Take part in the ‘Brother from another Brother’ challenge on Mendoza to unlock the infamous Agent 17 suit. The Agent 17 suit is a stylish attire for the more obedient assassin, it comes with leather gloves, an orange tie and sunglasses to complete the look. The anniversary challenge is available now.

October’s Elusive Targets
This month we’ve got two Elusive Targets to take on. If you are unaware of what an elusive target is, it is a limited-time contract where players hunt down a target on one of the established Hitman maps with only one chance to eliminate them and get away. When the contract has been completed or failed, it will be no longer accessible to the player.
The Politician (Year 2) returns to Hawk’s Bay in October for Hitman 3.
The first Elusive Target is Barbara Keating aka The Politician. She returns to the lone house on Hawk’s Bay for ten days starting October 7. Remember to be careful with blindly killing her on sight, she has a double and only the real target counts.
The Appraiser (Year 2) will be roaming the Isle of Sgàil in October on Hitman 3.
Our last Elusive Target is Miranda Jamison aka The Appraiser, she’s a famous art appraiser and director at the Gorka Institute in Barcelona. She will do anything for a good deal…like murder. She will be attending the gathering at the Isle of Sgàil on October 28 and will be available for ten days. Good luck!
Location Rotation: Landslide
Last month players were able to explore the GAMA facility in Hokkaido, Japan. October’s location rotation falls upon Sapienza’s Landslide contract. Landslide lets Hitman players explore most of Sapienza’s locations minus the estate and secret lab. On October 13, this contract will be available to all Hitman players for free.
Travel to the little coastal town of Sapienza and enjoy a cozy afternoon with live music and strawberry gelato.
Elusive Target Arcade
On October 13, new Elusive Target Arcades will arrive, and with it comes an unlock Hitman fans have been asking for. Finally, the banana will be a permanent addition to your loadout. Enjoy a fruity weapon of mass assassination this month of October on Hitman 3.
It can be thrown, it can be placed, and works perfectly as a little snack on longer missions. It is simple – It’s a banana.
The Sandman Challenge
For this year’s Halloween content, Hitman 3 players can unlock The Sandman suit on October 20. The new attire is a rugged and sturdy oiled coat, with horrifying worn overalls and shirt to match. Unlock The Sandman outfit by completing the new Halloween challenge in the Mills Reverie.

Halloween Community Event
Finally, we end the October Hitman 3 roadmap with the newest community contracts event. This month’s theme is of course Halloween. Any Hitman contract creator interested in participating will need to create a contract connected somehow with the theme of Halloween. This could be based on a super creative briefing, a cool idea or just a plain fun contract.
