Hitman 3: Winter Roadmap Revealed

The winter season is upon us in the world of assassination. IOI has revealed their newest HITMAN 3 roadmap consisting of content for both December and January. Like in past years, players will be given a bunch of Christmas-themed content that consists of new weapons and activities for our favourite bald assassin. The Winter roadmap includes new weapons, community contracts, returning elusive targets, a release date for the highly anticipated Freelancer mode, and more.

Holiday Hoarders Returns

Paris is once again celebrating the festive season by decking out the place with snow cannons and glimmering lights but of course, the devious Harry and Marv are back for holiday hoarding. The festive level returns to HITMAN in the month of December, though this year IOI is giving out some extra gifts.

The first gift is Lil’ Flashy, the perfect gift to put under the tree, small, endearing and useful in plotting certain assassinations. The second gift is an explosive present, it’s not considered a suspicious item, so you can leave it lying for a festive surprise. If this is your first time playing Holiday Hoarders, you can unlock the Santa 47 suit!

For HITMAN 3 players, this level is permanent but for players using the Free Starter Pack, the level is available between December 1st – January 5th

Elusive Target Arcades In December

Releasing on December 8th, HITMAN 3 will gain two more Elusive Target Arcades for players to take on. By completing either The Aesthetes or The Authoritarians, players will unlock the Shashka A33 Gold Assault Rifle.

Urbens Holiday Special #2

On December 15th, new featured contracts are being added courtesy of Urbens. Unlike Community Contracts, these Curated Contracts are collections of the best contracts out there. Urbens was the mastermind behind the original Urben’s Holiday Special in 2021. Now back with the second-holiday special, what challenges await HITMAN players this season?

The Icon

Lights, Camera, Action! HITMAN players can visit Sapienza during the filming of a superhero blockbuster. Your target is the star, Dino Bosco who plays the star known as The Icon. Take him down and end his career, for good. The Icon level will be free between December 22nd to January 2nd.

Elusive Targets For Winter

This winter, IOI is putting out two Elusive Targets for HITMAN players. The first one takes players to Sapienza during the shooting of Dino Bosco’s latest blockbuster. The target is the former musician-turned-gangster codenamed “The Bad Boy” who is hiding from the police. The Bad Boy will be available on December 30th for ten days. 

The Second target takes players back to Paris to hunt down the infamous Forger, Mr Larin. The Forger was the first Elusive Target released back in 2016 and he’s back now for HITMAN 3‘s second year of content. Eliminate The Forger between January 6th – 16th.

Hokkaido Snow Festival

Starting in 2023, the Hokkaido Snow Festival will commence between January 5th – 26th. The festival brings the new Ice To Meet You challenge for players to take part in. By completing the challenge, players will unlock the ICA 19 Iceballer. If you haven’t participated in the Hokkaido Snow Festival, don’t miss your chance to unlock the Snow Festival Suit. 

Winter Madness #2

Another set of curated contracts will be available on January 12th, this time from the Frote7 speedrun community. They’ve previously created contracts for the community with last year’s first Winter Madness Contracts. If you are interested in the speedrunning community or the world of Hitman speedrunning, head to the F7SC Discord channel.

Hitman: Freelancer Release Date

Finally, IOI has graced us with a release date for the upcoming Freelancer mode. The Freelancer mode will release on January 26th and will be a free addition to HITMAN 3. If you’d like to know more details about the upcoming rogue-like mode, take a look at IOI’s Road to Freelancer series.
