A List of Likely PS5 Release Titles

The Playstation 5 "Future of Gaming" event on June 11th was the biggest event for Playstation in the last few years. We were shown what the PS5 will look like and got a peak at 25 games that are set to release for the new and powerful system. While a lot of the trailers didn’t give any release date, we did some digging and found a list of games that are very likely to be release titles for the PS5, including some that weren’t at the show yesterday!

Marvel’s Spider-man: Miles Morales

Marvel’s Spider-man: Miles Morales, despite some confusion, is a stand-alone action adventure game developed by Insomniac Games. Get ready to see more high swinging action as Miles takes on what looks to be a whole cast of bad guys this holiday season.

JETT: The Far Shore

JETT: The Far Shore is an exploration action-adventure game being developed by the minds behind Sword and Sworcery, Superbrothers. In the game, your people face extinction and a small group of people are sent out into the interstellar unknown to find a new home. The main character, Mei, is the pilot of a “Jett” scout-craft and it is her job to find a new place for her people to survive. Jett: The Far Shore is set to release in the holiday season of 2020. Godfall

Godfall, developed by Counterplay Games, takes you to the world of Aperion, where you play as a Valorian knight and fight to protect the world from destruction. These knights are able to equip god-like weapons and armor that makes them into an unstoppable force of destruction. Expect to smash your enemies to bits this holiday season.

NBA 2K21

NBA 2K21 comes out with its yearly installment this holiday and promises to have better visuals, better loading times, and better… sweat? Expect a huge jump in graphics and performance as the games move to the powerful PS5 in the next step for the series published by 2K Sports.

Bugsnax

Ever heard of the saying, “You are what you eat?” The developers behind Octodad set out to answer this question in Bugsnax. While the trailer didn’t show much of how the game plays, we know that eating different Bugsnax will transform the player in crazy ways. This includes turning your hands into the not so useful but maybe useful “weenie-hands.” Bugsnax is set to release this holiday.

Deathloop

Deathloop is a spy vs spy action game where the goal is to kill first or be killed. From the trailer, you can expect to pick one of two spies who are pitted against each other in an endless fight to death. Deathloop is expected to release holiday 2020.

Astro’s Playroom

Astro’s Playroom is a 3D puzzle platformer set to launch on every PS5 console. It features a cute robot named Astro who sets off on an adventure in a world filled with Playstation assets. 

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has one of the longest titles in gaming, but that won’t stop the game from coming to PS5. In Vampire, you play as one of many different vampires just trying to get by in present day Seattle. Succumb to your desire for blood and risk getting caught or play it safe and starve. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is set to release this holiday and is published by Paradox Interactive.

Madden 21

Madden 21 is set to release this holiday season and expects to make full use of the new power given in PS5 and Xbox Series X. No information about what changes will be made for this year’s edition are known, but a new trailer is going to be released on June 16. Here is a link to where you can watch the premier!

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the next step for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series. The game will release holiday 2020 and takes place during the Nordic Invasion of England. This time you play as Eivor, a Viking who will lead his or her people to a new life on English soil.

Observer System Redux

Observer System Redux is a psychological horror game developed by Bloober Team. The game will be a recreation of the original sci-fi detective game, Observer, using next generation graphics to enhance gameplay. Expect to see the future this holiday season.

Outriders

Outriders was expected to be released mid 2020, but has been pushed back to holiday 2020 due to delays and to make use of the new hardware in the PS5. A group of people land on a strange planet and a mysterious anomaly attacks them shortly after. The anomaly gives them in-explainable magic powers that they use to survive on the incredibly dangerous planet they now find themselves stuck on in this sci-fi FPS game developed by Square Enix.
