Henry Cavill Supposedly Teases a Secret Mass Effect Project

Henry Cavill, the internet's favourite Witcher, Superman and tank top-wearing PC builder, has been a little cheeky and teased a potential secret project. Some implemented internet magic has found this could be related to the Mass Effect series. Henry Cavill Mass Effect film/TV series, anyone?

Whilst during what appears to be a hair and make-up session, Cavill posted to his Instagram a mysterious photo of him holding sheets of paper with the text completely blurred. “Secret project?”, he asks in the caption, “Or just a handful of paper with random words on it…. Guess you’ll have to wait and see. Happy hump day all”. With that, it could have only been anyone’s guess, until the good folks at Game Pressure stepped in at least, making the possibility of a Henry Cavill Mass Effect project a reality. Maybe THIS is why Bioware officially cancelled Anthem Next

Using a program called Focus Magic, the site’s staff were able to completely unblur the words in the image, revealing a plethora of words connected to the Mass Effect series. Such words included “Geth”, “Reaper”, “Cerberus” and “Tali’Zorah”. If one of the team members in particular is correct, the unblurred excerpt might be an entry taken from the Mass Effect 3 wiki. It reads as follows:

Following the events on Tuchanka and a failed coup by Cerberus to take over the Citadel, the quarians offer their support to the Alliance if Shepard helps them reclaim their homeworld, Rannoch, from the geth. Assisted by a quarian, either Tali’Zorah or Admiral Daro’Xen, Shepard boards a geth dreadnought and rescues a captive geth unit, either Legion or a facsimile occupied by a geth virtual intelligence (VI), then disables the Reaper control signal over the geth

If Henry Cavill actually somehow foresaw some resourceful internet people having access to capable deciphering technology, this would be the greatest internet trolling in a long while. However, it can’t be denied that a high profile actor already associated with video game properties, around the time that the Mass Effect series was announced to have a new game in development, definitely adds credibility to this supposed secret project.

What do you think of a potential Henry Cavill Mass Effect project? Would you prefer a series, film or perhaps Cavill taking on a role in the next game of the Bioware series? There’s been no announcement yet, but with The Witcher actor involved, it would certainly be exciting no matter which way.
