After winning a number of Game of the Year awards since its incredibly successful launches on PC and Nintendo Switch, Hades will soon be found under Xbox and PlayStation catalogues. The game was announced to head onto Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass, and Windows 10 at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. Almost immediately after, PlayStation posted a blog post announcing that the hit indie title is coming to PS4 and PS5 as well. Both the physical and digital editions of these new ports will release on the 13th of August 2021.
Greg Kasavin, Supergiant Games’ creative director who wrote the announcement blog for PlayStation, expressed his appreciation to fans. It’s easy to assume the following love is being sent to Xbox players too:
We really appreciate your interest and patience as we put the finishing touches on Hades before it launches on PlayStation. Our small team put everything we had into this game, and we’ve focused on making sure these new versions for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 look and feel terrific on each console. We love hearing from both new and returning players, so do let us know what you think if you get a chance to give Hades a shot! Thank you for your support, and good luck getting out of Hell!
