Despite expectation that wants to see God of War: Ragnarok releasing anytime this year, a word came out suggesting the contrary. God of War: Ragnarok Delayed, Will Not Release This Year: Industry Insider

An industry insider shed light to God of War: Ragnarok’s release status—delayed and it would not be this year.

Word about the sequel to the 2018 installment reached people’s consciousness back in September 2020, which came with the notion of a 2021 launch. But a belief of which that did not necessarily come from its developer, Santa Monica Studios.

Now, that expectation can be laid to rest as false as one tipster claims that there’s no 2021 launch for Ragnarok.

Putting the message to the world, journalist Jason Schreier tweeted about the delay to the developing title. As per tweet, the game has been in delay, due to internal issue, for months. Sony, however, has yet to make an official statement to the matter.

The aforementioned idea is suggestive that the game will not release this year. However, that is not also a guarantee that the triple-A title will see release anytime next year.

Conversely, Horizon Forbidden West appears to be on point for a 2021 release, as promised by Guerilla Games. But, unlike the anticipation for the God of War sequel, it was met with skepticism due to the still ongoing pandemic.
