PC players will be able to enjoy the PlayStation fan-favourite in 4K and unlocked framerates. The new version will also make use of Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling and Nvidia Reflex low latency technology, whilst also including 21:9 ultra-widescreen support.
Alongside a “wide range of other gamepads”, Sony confirmed via the PlayStation blog players will be able to use a Dualshock 4 or DualSense controller. Mouse and keyboard support will also be available.
Purchasing God of War on PC will also include the following digital content:
- Death’s Vow Armor Sets for Kratos and Atreus
- Exile’s Guardian Shield Skin
- Buckler of the Forge Shield Skin
- Shining Elven Soul Shield Skin
- Dökkenshieldr Shield Skin
With this announcement, the blog noted that God of War had sold 19.5 million copies as of August 2021. The 2018 title follows other PlayStation exclusives Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and Death Stranding to PC.
The release comes just before the sequel God of War: Ragnarok, which is slated for PlayStation consoles in 2022.
