Following a catastrophic event that sees humanity on the brink of extinction, Ghostrunner introduces us to a world of chaos and violence. We play as a cyber-warrior striving to survive in the unforgiving streets of humanity’s last shelter. With a person’s worth defined by the implants they were given as a child, any chance of survival is determined early on. Luckily for us, we have the option to customise our character as we gain the skills we need to ascend the tower. Fighting in both the real world and the virtual world, hack, slash, and climb your way to the top of the tower to face the Keymaster. For the next week (until Wednesday), we will be able to play the Ghostrunner demo, dashing through the streets of humanity’s last shelter and testing our skills against our enemies.
Enter an intense cyberpunk world and experience fierce, dynamic combat! Conquer your enemies in the physical world and in cyberspace. Hunt for answers in humanity’s last remaining shelter.
The cinematic trailer was released yesterday, which gives us a bit more of an insight into the violent world we will be up against:
As well as the cinematic trailer, the developers of Ghostrunner have also treated us to a demo available on Steam. While we won’t be getting everything included in the full release, there is still plenty for us to play through. This will only run for a week, from the 6 May 2020- 13 May 2020, so get your copy quick.
An official release date is yet to be announced, but Ghostrunner will be coming to PC (Steam), Playstation 4, and Xbox One this year.
