A new record for the French company as last week, Ghost Recon: Wildlands beta was played by 6,8 million players compared to the Division who drew in 6,4 million players.
Those numbers are still relatively low in comparison to other gargantuan franchises such as Battlefield 1, but Ubisoft can be satisfied as in addition to testing the game through beta, it made a good splash in the marketing department with it.
Players collectively spent 34,3 million hours playing, averaging at about 5 hours per player which doesn't say much in terms of likeability and future sales so it remains to be seen how it will fare when it is released as march is already busy with Zero Horizon Dawn, Zelda: Breath of The Wild and the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda.
