It seems only fitting that Ghost of Tsushima is the farewell, first-party exclusive for Sony’s colossus of a console. A unique, single-player experience boasting slick gameplay and incredible visuals that encompasses what Sony’s vision for this generation has been. Ghost of Tsushima is already well-received on Metacritic, currently standing at an impressive 84. It seems that lots of people agree with this as Ghost of Tsushima has achieved a perfect score from legendary publication Famitsu.
Famitsu uses a system whereby four reviewers will give their own individual assessment of the game, and they’re all combined to make one aggregate score. Ghost of Tsushima is only the third Western-developed game to achieve top marks. The only other two games to receive such acclaim are Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and Rockstar’s critically acclaimed Grand Theft Auto V. The publication has existed for 34 years, only giving out a perfect 40/40 score a meager 27 times. This further underlines the impressiveness of Ghost of Tsushima’s perfect score from Famitsu.
Ghost of Tsushima will be available to buy – exclusively on PS4 – from July 17th.
