One trend that seems to have established itself this year is the rise in games with heavy cyberpunk themes, likely due to the highly-anticipated open world masterpiece, Cyberpunk 2077. At the end of this month, we will be introduced to Cloudpunk, a story-rich, neon-drenched RPG in which we play as Rania, a driver for a semi-legal delivery company on her first night. Driving through the city of Nivalis, we will meet a spectrum of characters, all with their own stories. Never forget the two most important rules: ‘Don’t miss a delivery and don’t ask what’s in the package’.
Environment: Travelling along the winding roads, we will explore a sprawling city of bright lights and towering spires, from the Marrow to the edges of the troposphere.
Lasting Decisions: Nivalis holds all sorts of people from all walks of life, and on our rounds, we will meet a variety of characters to learn about. But we must beware of the decisions we make: every option comes with a lasting impact on the city.
Secrets: It may be our first day on the job, but Nivalis holds many mysteries. Corporate conspiracies, hackers, and rogue AI will meet us along the way, and it will be up to us to unearth their secrets.
Cloudpunk will be available on PC (Steam) on 23 April 2020.
