In a recent blog over at Nvidia, it has been revealed that GeForce Experience will soon add a new feature called Freestyle that enables Instagram-like filters to overlay on our games. Upon release, Nvidia confirms that there will be 15 filters available with 38 different settings. That’s a lot of customisation just to start!

Players could give Call of Duty: World War II a gritter tone with sepia or black and white filters. In total, all filters include:

  • Black and White
  • Exposure
  • Sepia
  • Color
  • Half Tone
  • Vignette
  • Colorblind
  • Mood
  • Depth of Field
  • Contrast
  • Night Mode
  • Special FX
  • Details
  • Retro
  • Adjustments

Two particular features stand out and will likely gain the respect of many a PC gamer. Colorblind settings and Night Mode settings will likely do alot of us some good. In the aforementioned blog, we learn “Freestyle’s more serious uses include a colorblind mode that makes it easier for colorblind gamers to differentiate between colors. Gamers can even use night mode, which reduces blue color so users can sleep better after a night of gaming. We’ve integrated Freestyle at the driver level for seamless compatibility with games. We’re releasing the Freestyle game filters beta with support for over 100 game titles.”
