Odds are people will keep calling him McCree

The team revealed his name via Twitter amidst major lore reveal that his prior name was merely an alias. His real name is none other than “Cole Cassidy”.

No live showcases from Blizzard for the foreseeable future

It seems like we won’t get that “Do you guys not have phones?” moment next year since BlizzCon 2022 has been canceled. No, it’s not due to COVID but rather because Blizzard is currently going through a bit of a rough patch. Of course, this is due to the highly publicized case of employee discrimination and harassment.

They are all hands on deck with Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 and want their products to do the talking for them. There will be no live or other presentation of these games for the foreseeable future. BlizzCon, if it re-emerges will probably be re-imagined to make it better than previous ones. They say that they are committed to making everyone attending their events feel welcome, safe and included. We’ll see how that ultimately pans out.

FIFA is more popular than ever

Some things never change and one of them is the extreme success of every FIFA game. According to the data collected by Ukie, FIFA 22 is the best-selling boxed game in the UK for a fourth consecutive week. While that may not be a surprise, a possible name change for the franchise might be.

EA has, for some time, been considering changing the iconic name of the series due to how expensive the licensing deal with the Fifa organization has been. According to some information, the licensing expenses that include all the teams and players have steadily been increasing every year, reaching an eye-watering sum. If there was ever an ideal time for a name change, this would be it since Konami also did the same with their Pro Evolution Soccer, turning it into eFootball.

The footage is also graphically a far cry from the game’s previous showcase that resulted in the game being delayed. You can check it out for yourself here.
