Epic Games suing Google and Apple over Fortnite removal

Epic Games just lost a lions share of the market

Epic Games just lost a huge market share for its flagship game – Fortnite. The game has been removed from both the Apple and Google Play Store following Epic enabling the players to purchase the in-game currency directly from Epic instead of going through the stores themselves where both Apple and Google take their cut of the cake. In response, Epic is suing both, saying that they are acting like a monopoly that stifles competition. Besides the legal actions, Epic is rallying their fanbase to put pressure on Apple and Google, portraying them as the villains in a satirical video titled Nineteen-Eighty-Fortnite. It’s definitely going to be a highly publicized case with all parties taking jabs at each other so make sure you follow it up right here on Keengamer. Each character will represent a certain class: Samurai, Hunter, Ronin or Assassin and each will come with their own unique set of skills and abilities. According to Sucker Punch, multiplayer is going to be substantially more difficult than the singleplayer and will even have a raid as the ultimate endgame experience. The best part? It will be completely free. For the full trailer, release date and more information, check out our original news coverage.
