Black Myth: Wukong drops a jaw-dropping trailer
A trailer for the game Black Myth: Wukong has dropped unexpectedly to universal praise. It shows 13 minutes of gameplay from a pre-alpha build and already looks more impressive than 90% of finished games out there. The game comes from a Chinese developer Game Science Studio and is based on the classic novel “Journey to the West“. According to the humble developer, they released the trailer in order to draw additional talent to the project and will be going silent to continue their hard work on this ambitious project. The Bat-family takes center stage in Gotham Knights
WB Montreal is a studio best known for Arkham series prequel Batman: Arkham Origins. With Rocksteady moving on to the Suicide Squad, Montreal is picking up the Arkham mantle with their newly announced Gotham Knights game. They showcased the game during DC’s FanDome event with a full gameplay trailer that gave a ton of details on what we can expect when it releases sometime during 2021. For one, the game will feature the entire Bat-family (Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and the Red Hood) as playable characters with the infamous Court of Owls acting as the main antagonists. The game is looking to be heavily co-op focused and set in a much larger open world than what we’ve seen in previous Arkham games. Cyberpunk 2077 will have free DLC post-release
Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t out yet but it looks like it’s going to be a massive game. Well, according to a delightful Twitter post from CD Projekt Red, the game will continue to grow post-release through completely free DLC releases. While we don’t know if this will include complete storylines or something less substantial like cosmetics, it’s great news for anyone looking to spend a significant amount of time in the dystopian Night City. It seems we’ll be getting another Nintendo Switch model next year
The next generation of gaming hardware is almost upon us. Even though Nintendo claims it’s not a part of that arms race, many are wondering what’s next for the gaming giant. Well, according to a report from the Taipei based website Economic Daily News – it’s a newer model of the Nintendo Switch! The report states the newer model is entering production later this year and is set to launch sometime during 2021. Since we already have a slightly weaker Lite model, many speculate that this one could be a more powerful “Pro” model that will extend the lifespan of the Switch for another couple of years. Developers detail the innovative features of the DualSense controller
The PlayStation 5 controller, DualSense is looking to improve both game immersion and the way we interact with them. As we approach the release of the console, developers are more willing to talk about how all the features of the controller will be used in their games. Some shooters will have triggers jam when your guns jam, you should more precisely feel the vehicle’s braking as well as traversing different types of terrain and much more. It definitely sounds like adaptive triggers and haptic feedback will add a new dimension to future games and we can’t wait. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been announced
Call of Duty is going back to the fan-favorite Black Ops series. As with all previous CoD’s, this one will also have a heavily scripted, filled with setpieces, single-player campaign as well as a myriad of multiplayer modes. It will also feature the popular Zombies mode as well as integration with the existing Warzone battle royale. The best part for the fans of the franchise is that the game releases in just short 2 months for the current-gen platforms while the next-gen version will come out not long after the release of the new hardware.
