Free Updates Headed To AC Odyssey This Month

With Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Ubisoft took the acclaimed franchise to new levels by introducing new combat mechanics, a massive and diverse open world and the first-ever dialogue options in an AC game. Developers Ubisoft aren't done supporting the Ancient Greece title, as a flurry of brand-new updates are set to release for Odyssey by the end of this month.

Free Updates Headed To AC Odyssey This Month
In a recently released video from Ubisoft, the studio addressed many new features coming to the February monthly update. Anticipated features, such as New Game+ and additional story-related content are headed to the game. And they're all coming free of charge.

Titled, A Brother's Seduction, the new free single-player content will have players following a questline that takes them to Corinthia. There, players will embark on a storied journey between two brothers and how they deal with the passing of their father. The new content is available for free, however, players must be caught up to chapter five in the base game's story arc.

And if you're looking to start a new journey of Alexios or Kassandra, the New Game+ mode will also be introduced as a part of the free update. Starting a New Game+ mode will allow players to transfer over all obtained equipment, ship upgrades, stats, abilities and other progression related content. Also, the New Game+ mode will allow players to switch protagonists, which should cure any curosity left by those tempted to try Odyssey as a different character than before.

Going right along with the New Game+, Odyssey's level cap will also be increased to a whopping level 99. This is a thankful effort from Ubisoft, as 2017's Origins release had players pay for additional DLC in order to obtain a level cap inrease. And one that was nowhere near the magnitude of level 99.

The new monthly update is expected to hit Assassin's Creed Odyssey on February 26, 2019 and it's completely free.
