It's more than fireworks launching this Fourth of July. As fans know, July 4 is the release of Stranger Things 3 on Netflix. More than that, though, is the debut of Stranger Things 3: The Game.

Many know that hit series Stranger Things will be releasing its third season this Fourth of July. In addition to the series, though, Stranger Things 3: The Game will also be launching. It will, according to creators, be following the series events and has 12 playable characters, including new characters to be introduced.

The game will be featuring a retro-style with classic 16-bit graphics and a focus on storytelling and puzzle solving. It will also have a local split-screen co-op, which can be played solo, but there's no online play.

The aim of the game is to solve environmental puzzles and fight baddies while navigating through familiar environments like moody woods and sterile laboratories. Each character has their own combat abilities and certain ones have skills that will allow them to access additional areas and items.

For example, Jim bullrushes, clearing lines of foot soldiers. Joyce, on the other hand, can spin around like a tornado, breaking boxes and stunning enemies. When a new character is unlocked, players can switch between the roster in real-time.
