Fortnite update 7.40 delay
Fornite’s update 7.40 was delayed on the 12th February and again this morning after a fault in the new patch was discovered.
Fortnite took to Twitter to tell it’s huge fanbase of the issue.

The new update has now been put back and the developer has said “We’ll give you an exact time when we lock it down.”

I can only assume they would like to get this update out before Valentines day as a new cuddle heart wrap announced is part of the share the love event. To get this wrap you need to enter a creator code in support-a-creator section of the game store.
This runs until 22nd February.

Plus according to an in-game news post the new patch will introduce a brand new Infantry rifle weapon, it’s said to have a classic design but with a new combat style.

Some of the other updates to v7.40 can be seen below

  • Planes will no longer be able to smash through structures
  • Zipline interact prompt added, and using a Zipline will grant fall damage immunity
  • Hand cannon structure damage reduced from 150 to 100
  • Turbo build delay decreased from 0.15s to 0.05s
  • Rocket launcher reload time increased from 2.52s to 3.24s
  • Added ability to crouch while in edit mode
