In the lead up to the release of Black Ops 4 senior heads at Treyarch continued to reiterate that a campaign was never worked on and the plan all along was Multiplayer, Zombies and the Battle Royale mode Blackout.
This alleged leaked campaign footage can look rather familiar at first glance. It looks to take place on what would become the multiplayer map Seaside with mechanics such as the manual healing also in operation in the bottom right.
There is even some extensive voice-over for this alleged campaign suggesting it did reach a certain stage in development before it was later scrapped. The mission structure is quite simple as you progress through the level of completing objectives and holding control points however these types of missions are very common in a Call of Duty campaign.
Character models had yet to have fleshed out so would not have been representative of the final product but this new footage does give us an idea of what a Black Ops 4 campaign would have looked like with many fans disappointed they didn’t have one.
What do you think of this alleged leaked campaign footage? Do you wish Treyarch continued with it or was it the right decision to scrap it? Let us know in the comments below.
