The file size for the FFXV Benchmark Tool is 3.7GB and comes in a zipped file. Once unzipped and opened, the file size remains the same. It will download fairly quickly, due to Square Enix’s apparently beefy servers. As for running the benchmark itself, the process will take around seven minutes with three settings – Light, Standard and High. Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition will only be compatible on 720p, 1080p and 4K displays.
In his update video, Tabata also goes into detail for what preorder bonuses can be expected. He also mentions a special early access availability but there are no further details on that just yet. Whatever version of the game PC players decide to get, they can expect a complete Final Fantasy XV experience. All DLC will be included which means Episode Prompto, Gladiolus and Ignis as well as the multiplayer expansion, Comrades. On top of all this, Windows Edition boasts added content including a new dungeon, extra boss fights, a first-person mode, and an added in-game vehicle, the Royal Vessel boat. Console players need not feel left out, however. On the same release date of March 6th, the Royal Edition will release alongside the Windows Edition. This means the same full package can be experienced on PS4 and Xbox One. This is a no brainer deal for anyone who has yet to pick up Final Fantasy XV on console.
