In its first gameplay trailer, Ubisoft has announced that the previously delayed Far Cry 6 will release on October 7th for PC and consoles.
The new trailer titled ‘introducing Dani Rojas’ showcased the main protagonist for the first time. Much like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, players have the option of a male or female protagonist.
Dani is born and raised in Yara. He/she is part of the modern guerillas with the aim of taking back Yara from antagonist Anton Castillo, played by Breaking Bad‘s Giancarlo Esposito.
Far Cry 6 will feature secret camps across the whole of Yara. In these camps, Dani will be able to customise her weapons and vehicles, smuggle in supplies, and carefully plan out the course of action for the next mission.
Speaking of weapons, Far Cry 6 continues with a plethora of options. The guerrillas will make use of every material they acquire. The trailer showcased a weapon from an old motorcycle engine and even a disc launcher using records playing the Macarena!
Fans worried about the lack of diversity in Far Cry 5 will have their minds at ease, as the new trailer showcased a variety of different environments.
Yara expands from the deep jungles, coastlines, small towns, and its large capital city Esperanza.
