These include a limited-time four-person co-op mission in which the Bride of Junkenstein returns to Adlersbrunn to seek her revenge. The event also sees the return of the original Junkenstein’s Revenge co-op Brawl from 2017. Completing challenges will also reward players with unique Halloween-themed rewards, such as a Jack-o’-Lantern weapon charm, a Nightfall Over Adlersbrunn name card, bonus XP, and more.
The event will also see brand-new Halloween-themed skins for Junker Queen, Kikiro, and Ashe, among others. These can only be obtained through purchases in the in-game store, which is exactly what is causing so much fan ire.
Last year, during Overwatch’s Halloween Terror event, such spooky skins were given out as rewards for completing challenges. And fans over on both Reddit and Twitter and disappointed and angry with Blizzard’s choice to change things up this year, with many putting the change down to simple company greed. And after such a rocky and disappointing start to Overwatch 2’s life, it’s not a good look for Blizzard.
It seems highly unlikely that Blizzard will alter pricing and rewards now, this close to the start of the event, but here’s hoping they take fan feedback on board and don’t make the same mistakes in their future seasonal events.

In slightly happier news, both Bastion and Torbjörn are set to return today (Oct 25). Both heroes had to be temporarily removed due to balance issues and bug fixing, but it appears they are now ready to make their triumphant return.
