Fallout fan lives on forever as NPC in Nuka-World

Reddit user NoohjXLVII had a tough year last year. The person he looked up to the most in the world passed away, his father. He and his brother spend hours and hours playing Fallout 4 and it helped them get through a hard time. They even made a robot in the game to remember their father. Then fate struck again two months ago, his brother, Evan, died.

"Thank you Bethesda for providing me with this wonderful game and distraction for everything I'm going through," he says on Reddit. "It's going to suck wandering this real world without my little brother. But at least he got to meet my son. Ad Victoriam little Brother. I'll see you in the wasteland."

This touched the developers at Bethesda on a deeper level. So they send a care package to NoohjXLVII, containing a ton of Fallout 4 goodies, and, the most beautiful gesture in the package, a personal letter from Bethesda's community manager Jessica Finster.

"On behalf of the team at Bethesda and myself, our thoughts and best wishes are with you and your family," she wrote in the letter.

"The words they use sound exactly like him, however, he was also a pretty funny guy, full of puns," NoohjXLVII says on Reddit.

Evan the NPC is one of the most friendly characters players will meet in all of the Wasteland, offering players free supplies as he says he's been "out there" and "knows that the world can be a cruel and unfriendly place."

NoohJXLVII says players shouldn't feel bad about taking his brother's stuff in-game. "Don't feel guilty about taking his stuff!" he wrote. "He insists you take it and in real life he would give you the shirt off of his back to help those in need."

So thank you, Bethesda, for restoring our faith in humanity once again!
