While Ubisoft is currently dealing with sexual misconduct and other internal issues, the company decided not to make any statement during the showcase.

Many companies in the games industry are coping by turning towards this route of delivering trailers, reveals, and more. The French developer and publisher had plenty to show with the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the previously quiet Watch Dogs: Legion, and more. This roundup will sum up everything that you may have missed if you did not watch the show.

Ubisoft currently has internal issues with harassment and sexual misconduct. The company decided not to make any statements regarding the situation during the showcase. The restructuring has left many previously reported employees, some of which held high positions within the studio, to resign their positions.

Watch Dogs: Legion Short Film and New Gameplay Trailer

Things kicked off to a weird, chaotic start with a short film of Watch Dogs: Legion. The colorful video showed a wild police chase that led to the two featured nameless characters to meet up with a group of resistant hackers. 

Afterward, Clint Hocking, the creative director of the third installment in Watch Dogs, spoke about the film and what to expect from the game. Once Hocking was done, it transitioned into a new trailer that showed off the many playable characters and playstyles.

Brawlhalla is coming to mobile

Brawlhalla, 2D free fighting game, is coming to iOS and Android. The game ports over to your phones on August 6 with cross-play. You can pre-register for an exclusive bonus goodie on the game’s official website.

New Trailer for Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad

Take iconic characters like Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell or your favorite operators from Rainbow Six Siege, Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad has it all. The mobile RPG that will put you in 5v5 matches has a brand new trailer. The game will launch on August 27, and if you pre-register on the game’s official website, you can get Montagne’s Tier 2 M1911 pistol.

Hyper Scape cinematic trailer

Hyper Scape, Ubisoft’s new cyberpunk battle royale, has a new cinematic trailer. It delivers a look at the universe of the new game that takes place in 2054. Creative director J.C. Guyot then gives a deeper look into the world along with an explanation of how the tactics surrounding verticality, weapons, and hacking makes this standout from the plethora of other games in the popular genre.

Anamaria Musca, the production manager for Hyper Scape, gave a deeper look into the character design. To let players see character motivations is through appearance. Tattoos, hairstyles, and clothes tell the story behind the characters. Over time new outfits will be available to further develop them.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Gameplay Overview

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will go into the human motivations behind the Vikings. It will give players a glimpse into their culture and life while having the RPG experience that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Origins delivered. 

The gameplay overview trailer actually shows gameplay, unlike the false promise from Inside Xbox earlier this year. Watch the trailer to see what raiding like a true Viking will look like, traveling around England, and how the Assassin’s Creed DNA will work with its latest theme.

Far Cry 6 official trailer

Far Cry 6 got its world premiere trailer that gives a look at the dictator of Yara, played by Breaking Bad‘s Giancarlo Esposito. We get to see him with his son, and it gives a glimpse into the personality of the game’s villain. The sixth installment of Ubisoft’s open-world first-person shooter will also feature Anthony Gonzalez (Coco) as the crazed leader’s son.

Far Cry often gets a big name to play as the antagonist, like the fourth game’s Pagan Min, who was played by The Last of Us and Bioshock: Infinite actor Troy Baker. 

Far Cry 6 releases on February 18, 2021.
