Developer Eleon Game Studios has released the Empyrion Galactic Survival v1.5 update. Previously, it was available for willing players to try out in the experimental branch (beta). The new update brings a number of new additions to the game. It is also packed with changes and bug fixes as well.
Empyrion Galactic Survival is a voxel-based indie game. You could think of it like Minecraft, but much more realistic. Turn it into a cosmic space adventure about survival and building, and you’re pretty close. You could also compare it to Space Engineers, which is also a voxel game. That game is, of course, much more focused on engineering. However, survival is a part of that title as well. All three of these games provide creative modes for when you just want to build stuff.
What’s New In The Empyrion Galactic Survival v1.5 Update?
Players starting a new cosmic adventure in Empyrion Galactic Survival will notice changes right away. The escape pod lands automatically now. Furthermore, the flashlight and survival tool are now scattered around the escape pod. Before they were in the pod or your inventory from the start. Players are also no longer allowed to sleep in the escape pod. You’ll need a survival tent instead. A skippable, two-part tutorial mission was also added at the start.
Other new additions include the faction known as Brotherhood of Farr. New points of interest and vessels have been added for this faction. A Farr homeworld has been added for them, too. Players can find some of their large settlements on arid/desert worlds. NPC factions also got a new turret color and new projectile types to differentiate them more.
The developers have also updated the story missions, adding new stuff to some and improving others. The player’s PDA has also been updated with new stuff. For example, new detail information was added for missions one through six. The full changelog for the Empyrion Galactic Survival v1.5 update is pretty long. We’ve looked at some of the biggest stuff, but there is plenty more. For example, when it comes to new/updated points of interest for players to explore. It will keep players busy for some time.
