As we have informed exploration in Elite should be a profitable carreer whic you could choose. But right now it is not finished.So all the corners of space are just, space. There is no rewards for flying around. You can do it just for your own curiosity.
And the beta is still imperfect. There are connectivity issues, not enough players and not enough things to do. But Elite still can be one of the best space sim in the near future because Star Citizen is far from launch. And Elite? Let's hope the developers will make everything on time in Q4 2014.
