In response to a now deleted comment, developers at EA Motive said: “We have an amazing team at Motive that has started working on Iron Man and you can rest assured that it’s in great hands!” Unfortunately, this was the only mention of the upcoming superhero game, and details remain thin as to what fans can expect to see when the game finally launches, but it is good news that development seems to be running smoothly.
As confirmed in their reply, the new IP will be developed by a separate EA Motive team and not the ones who recently rebuilt Dead Space from the ground up. In the same response, the team was keen to relay that they would “be interested in continuing our work on the Dead Space franchise. Our Core group is passionate about the brand and we need to discuss what’s the right next step for us”. However, they also added the caveat that “There’s numerous factors that need to be taken into account at a studio and company level but first, the team will take a well deserved vacation before determining what’s next”.
So, while gamers and developers alike are eager to see more current-gen Dead Space content, it may be some time before anything new materialises. That being said, the AMA is a great look at the behind-the-scenes development that went into the fantastic Dead Space Remake – giving plenty of insights into the thought processes behind what to keep and what to change, as well as hopes of remaking the sequels in the future.
The news is out! 🎉We couldn’t be more thrilled to collaborate with @MarvelGames on an all-new single-player, action-adventure Iron Man game. While we’re still in early development, this is an exciting new adventure for our studio: https://t.co/zpuT61TKtV pic.twitter.com/309lhm02dY

Marvel fans should expect a long wait before hearing anything new about the Iron Man game, as EA Motive is hoping to replicate Rocksteady’s success with Batman by allowing players to truly feel like they are embodying the Iron Man. And such dedication takes time.
